Affleck wanted to direct a movie "I personally researched and understood", and invited high school classmate Aaron Stockard to work with him on the script.Home Entertainment thanked all those in attendance, including Titus Welliver (Dino Ciampa), Dennis McLaughlin (Rusty), and Affleck's mother, for coming out and supporting director Affleck's "preferred" version of the film, leading to a short, prerecorded introduction by Affleck himself. Earlier that day, the intersection of Tremont and Avery streets was temporarily renamed "The Town Take 2 Place" in a small ceremony, attended by Welliver and Boston city officials.Doug tells Claire of his long-lost mother, who he believes went to live with his aunt in Tangerine, Florida. He also talks about how he almost became a professional ice hockey player. She tells him she saw a tattoo on one of the robbers' necks but did not inform the FBI.Doug asks Claire to go away with him to Florida, and she accepts. She quits her job, unaware that Frawley has tapped her phone. Frawley then shows his file on Doug to Claire, threatening to prosecute her as an accomplice. In the Alternative Cut, during his escape from Boston, Doug is confronted by the man he and Jem assaulted in defense of Claire. With two friends backing him up, he asks Doug where Jem is and where the money is (implying he knew about the heist, likely from Fergie).

Opinion: Ham fleeced a town that gave him his Ark Encounter

The prosperity Ken Ham promised Williamstown, Ky., when the Ark Encounter was built never materialized. To hear Ken Ham tell it, they were fools to ever trust him. Ham’s claim is not only insulting, but disingenuous. Far from actively supporting the community that opened its coffers to his organization, Ham has repeatedly acted to enrich the park at the town’s expense. When businesses have opened in the small town, Ham has moved against them as well. In October of 2016, he posted a video about his visit to Shem’s Snack Shack, a small family restaurant that opened outside the Ark property.Ham’s opinion piece criticizes the film’s coverage of Williamstown, arguing filmmaker Clayton Brown used "clever camera angles" to give the impression that the theme park hasn’t helped the town."We would be thrilled to see a major economic impact for the town, but…that town’s central business area is on the opposite side of the interstate from the Ark Encounter, half a mile from that interstate, and currently has no major hotels or restaurants."
